SERVING OUR COMMUNITY

Located in the beautiful City of DeRidder in Beauregard Parish sits the historic DeRidder USO Building now known as the War Memorial Civic Center.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT

The Civic Center serves as a vital hub for our community and surrounding areas, hosting a wide array of events. Daily operations are managed by the Director and three dedicated staff members, under the guidance of an appointed Board of Directors.

LOUISIANA DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS

Due to a cooperative endeavor agreement with the BPPJ, the Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs operates their Beauregard Parish Office located in our historic facility by appointment only to assist veterans and their families. To schedule an appointment, please call 337-463-7305 or email joshua.tolbert@la.gov.

EVENT HOSTING & RENTALS

Our facility offers two small rooms and a large auditorium, featuring its original 1941 hardwood floors, available for rental for your special occasions. For more information about rental rates and availability, please call us at 337-463-7212 or click the button below.

Charese Mack

Charese L. Mack is a United States Army Veteran. She held the rank of Sergeant and served honorably as an Army Logistics Specialist from March 19, 1998-August 8, 2004. She has served as an Equipment Records Parts Specialist, Class IX Warehouse Specialist, Class IX Warehouse Supervisor, and an Ammunition Manager. Sergeant Mack’s awards include Kosovo Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Metal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Non-Commissioned Officer’s Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, and Nato Medal.

Currently, Ms. Mack is employed as a Claims Specialist. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology and a Master of Business Administration Degree. She is a disciple of Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church, Dr. Keith W. Stevenson, Pastor, and a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. She has one daughter, Jordan. Her favorite scripture is Psalm 23.
